John Butler, one of our NSP electricians is travelling to Sierra Leone with a small group from Luton as part of a large project run by a local charity whose vision is to make a difference to peoples’ lives by relocating thousands of people from devastating slum conditions and building at least 1,000 new low cost homes.
Whilst there he will be providing practical help and showing the local workers how to do the electrics on the new houses.
John is raising money for the Home Leone charity www.homeleone.org , so if you would like to donate details can be found here https://mydonate.bt.com/fundraisers/johnbutler1
The charity is also in need of various items for use during construction (see attached list) so if anyone has any of these items going spare at home please contact me and I’ll make sure they are passed directly to the charity to be sent out in a container which will be shipped out by early September.
The photo shows Garry Hills our Plant & Transport Manager handing over 3,500 slotted screws to John for use on the project.
